Fundraisers and Family Events

SRS Spirit Nights- Throughout the year, Home & School sponsors SRS Spirit Nights at places such as Rita’s, Swarthmore Pizza, Sproul Lanes, and Springfield Ice Rink to give the SRS community a chance to come together outside of school and raise money for Home & School at the same time. Volunteers help at individual events to help with various tasks such as checking in participants.

Fall Festival – A fall celebration for the entire school!  Volunteers are needed to help scoop ice cream and to make goodies for the bake sale.  Jobs may also include set-up, clean-up, managing a children’s game/activity or serving food.

Book Fair – Volunteers are needed to set-up and break down the fair as well as work the actual sale. Most sale hours are during the school day. Great job for book lovers – lots of time for browsing.  We have two book fairs – in the fall and spring.  Volunteer for one or both!

Family Bingo Night – Volunteers are needed to help solicit donations for the raffles, to work the BINGO games, and to sell food. Assistance with set-up and clean-up is also needed. We’re always looking for a BINGO caller as well!

Family Talent Night (March)- SRS has got talent! Volunteers assist the chair to organize the program and manage the show. Volunteers set up and serve snacks after the show and clean up.

International Night (March)- Do you have special knowledge about a country or culture? We are looking for volunteers to share foods, games, books, crafts, music or anything special from around the world at SRS International Night.

Field Day – Assist the students with games and help serve food.

STEM Night (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) – Volunteers are needed to staff science, math and technology events.

Swarthmore Fun Fair (May)- The community loves to come together to help celebrate this charitable event in downtown Swarthmore, and SRS H&S is no exception! Volunteers help set up and take down our booth, spin cotton candy or oversee a game. You can even walk with us in the parade!

End of Year Celebration – A huge celebration for the entire school with a new and exciting theme each year!  Volunteers are needed to decorate, serve food, run games and clean-up.
